About Us

April Howell is the Director of Operations. She has over seven years of experience in the behavioral health field, which she began during her time as a Criminal Justice student at Mansfield University. Her career began in Wellsboro, PA, as a residential staff member at a youth facility, later transitioning to Sayre, PA, where she worked as a Personal Care Aide, supporting children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as at-risk youth. Her roles expanded into employment services, client advocacy, and service coordination, deepening her operational and therapeutic expertise. In July 2023, April joined EMBHC, where she now serves as Director of Operations, leveraging her diverse background to lead cross-departmental collaboration and ensure quality care for individuals struggling with addiction.

Lorin Pierce is the Director of Admissions. She brings a strong foundation in direct client care and administrative operations, shaped by years of hands-on experience in the behavioral health field. Starting as a Behavioral Health Technician and Admissions Representative, Lorin has been with the organization since its inception, steadily rising through the ranks to her current role as Director of Admissions. Her early roles involved supporting individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, where she honed her skills in client engagement, intake coordination, and care navigation. Over time, Lorin demonstrated exceptional leadership, process improvement, and team-building abilities, ultimately overseeing the whole admissions process and ensuring seamless, compassionate entry into care. Her background also includes work in hospital environmental services and child caregiving, further reinforcing her commitment to service and attention to detail.

Glenn Jarvis, Clinical Director at EMBHC, he brings over three decades of experience in the field of drug and alcohol treatment. Having retired briefly, Glenn returned to frontline service out of a deep personal commitment to helping those struggling with addiction. His career includes leadership roles across inpatient, outpatient, and residential programs, including Director positions at Arnot Hospital’s New Dawn Unit and the Salvation Army’s Our House Residential Program. Glenn has long been a trusted voice in the recovery community, serving on the Chemung County Drug Court Team since 2005. Known for his practical leadership, client rapport, and clinical insight, Glenn now guides EMBHC’s clinical services with a hands-on, collaborative approach rooted in compassion and seasoned expertise.

Melyssa Ferraiolo is the Community Outreach Representative for EMBHC, serving southeastern Pennsylvania with dedication and purpose. With a strong background in admissions coordination, recovery advocacy, and client engagement, Melyssa specializes in building trusted connections with families, providers, and referral networks. She brings firsthand experience from her work with organizations such as Victory Bay and Just Believe Recovery, where she supported individuals navigating the treatment process. Melyssa is passionate about eliminating stigma, enhancing access to care, and walking alongside clients and families through every step of the recovery journey. At EMBHC, she leads outreach efforts in the southeast region—educating communities, developing partnerships, and helping ensure individuals struggling with addiction are met with compassion and a clear path to treatment.

Melissa Streeter, BSN, RN, PMH-BC, CARN, is a behavioral health and addiction nursing professional with over 22 years of experience across a broad spectrum of healthcare settings. Her diverse clinical background has strengthened her ability to make sound, informed decisions and deliver high-quality care in complex and evolving environments. Since 2018, Melissa has dedicated her career to behavioral health and substance use treatment, bringing a focused commitment to improving outcomes for individuals navigating recovery. She holds board certifications in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as well as Addiction Nursing (CARN) through the Addiction Nursing Certification Board, reflecting her advanced expertise and dedication to specialized care and striving to be a subject matter expert. Melissa is recognized for her patient-centered, recovery-oriented approach, integrating evidence- based and trauma-informed practices to support individuals with dignity and respect. Her work is driven by a commitment to clinical excellence, educating others, continuous improvement, and the advancement of compassionate, effective behavioral health services.
