April Howell – Director of Operations.

April Howell is the Director of Operations. She has over seven years of experience in the
behavioral health field, which she began during her time as a Criminal Justice student at Mansfield University.
Her career began in Wellsboro, PA, as a residential staff member at a youth facility, later transitioning to Sayre,
PA, where she worked as a Personal Care Aide, supporting children with intellectual and developmental
disabilities, as well as at-risk youth. Her roles expanded into employment services, client advocacy, and service
coordination, deepening her operational and therapeutic expertise. In July 2023, April joined EMBHC, where
she now serves as Director of Operations, leveraging her diverse background to lead cross-departmental
collaboration and ensure quality care for individuals struggling with addiction.
